I've seen those rims powder coated in white before, I thought they looked great in white. If you painted them they would look ok for a little bit but they will never hold up. If you do anything I'd say powdercoat.

White rims look good but I wouldn't do it to a nice set of chrome rims like you have. BTW window tint would look great on that car. Follow this link to see Dan's '99 GAGT with white rims; http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66001

I don't believe he has the chrometechs, those are the silver alloy versions.

Definately go with powdercoat. Expect to pay around 50-80 bucks per wheel. No bad considering they won't be subject to chipping because powdercoat is WAY stronger than paint. Ive got a powdercoated piece under my hood and it definatelly holds up to high heat and etc..

I'd have them powder coated white if you can afford it. It'll cost you most likely about $100 a wheel after removing the tire, cleaning, powder coating, tire mounting and balancing.

If you want a cheeper solution you can paint them, after all the factory does it. Just make sure it is extremely clean. I would recomend using hi-temp paint since the wheels are subjected to heat from the brakes. I would sand any bad spots, clean, prime, paint, and clear coat. Don't rush it.

There is a paint made for wheels. I wouldn't expect heat problems, I used regular Krylon on my calipers and drums without any ill effects. I would worry more about rock and salt chips.

Maybe. My rims get coated in brake dust, so they always look dirty. buy some aftermarket rims, black with a silver lip. NICE.

White rims on a white car is way better looking then black rims on a black car.

Powdercoat them for a great finish and harder then rock paint because the way powdercoating works.
