you weren't paying attention in the other threads where you? If they're rated to handle 1000 wrms (thats both or each?) then you want an amplifier capable of delivering that desired power into the opportune load...

If they are DVC4 ohm, you want an amp to work at 1 ohm final load...if they're SVC4 ohm, you need and amp that works at 2 ohms, and so on...

Ok, these subs run 1000 watts rms each, so together it's 2000 watts rms. It would be best to get a 2 channel 2000 watt amp that's capable of running at 2 ohms to push these subs. That way your only putting around 1000 watts to each sub and it will sound great. Or you could get 2 1000 watt mono amps to both of them. You only wanna give the subs the amount of power that the rms is at the most. That way your not over powering them. Hope this helps in any way.

sorry for the ignorance. I'm new to the whole car audio thing. And damn if a 2000 watt amp probably is going to be as long as my car i guess ill just hit the 2 1000 watt ones

if you get a 2 channel amp make sure it's bridgeable so you can run it x1 not one sub on each channel

Its actually a 4 Ch bridgeable to 2 x 1000w rms @ 1 ohm

honestly, those subs dont need 1000 watts to run. they should be fine with 500-600 watts of CLEAN power. if i had to decide between a high end 100 watts total amp for a low end 2000 watt amp, id go with the higher end one. clean power does wonders for music, as well as the lower current draw due to more efficient design.

I have seen several of those subs where the coil former seperated from the cone due to glue failure which leaves the cone flopping around only connected to the surround. The coil is still pumping and pushed out the center of the aluminum cone in a circle about 1in. out. Man that was funny to look at.... kinda like a donut. Good luck with your subs!!!
