Hello everyone, I'm new to the grand am forums. I have a 99 grand am GT and it's great to come to a place where people have common interests. Here is my problem, I bought a pioneer avic z1 dvd navigation unit and my opening in my car isnt big enough. I dont like the looks of the pop out units such as the avic n3 so I bought the z1 and I will make it work somehow. I was wondering if they make an aftermarket plastic radio/ac control piece that would have a bigger din opening to support a unit such as the avic z1. Also if they dont is there anyone who has done alot of fabricating that could give me a couple good tips on doing it. My plan is to move the ETS and hazard buttons somewhere else in the car and then cut the radio opening bigger to fit the avic Z1. I dont want it to look like a bad botch job and I plan to make it look nice and like it belongs, I just havent done much plastic fabricating and I have seen some of the customized cars around here so I know it can be done and look good too. Thanks in advance, Jay
