Would racing seats from a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire fit into my 01 Grand Am?

haha no. aftermarket racing seats that were put into a sunfire.

you can put seats from any car into any car, whether it'll bolt right up and look good is another question.

You might end up having to remove the stock track from the stock seats and using it on the new ones.

No, they wont. N-bodys have a different mounting system than J-bodies. You will need a shop to tear off your stock sliders and mount them to the seats and Id advice reinforcing them, cause safety is always nice, at least thats the route I took

Just fabricate your rails \ tracks onto the aftermarket seats. Thats what I would reccomend.
