So as some of you know, I recently went back to North Dakota for Donovan's best friend's wedding. We've been having nothing but trouble with our F150, so Donovan's dad decided to trade us the F150 for his Aurora, and we drove it back from North Dakota. So here are some pictures of the car on the trip back :)
Oh, and does anyone think any of the pictures would be good enough to sumbit for the non-ga calendar?

Well the first few pics are in Eastern Washington, at the Columbia river on I-90, then there's some pics in Montana, at Pompey's Pillar, and the last few pics are somewhere between Sidney and Fairview, MT... when I was in North Dakota, we were in Williston, Minot and Max (where the wedding was held)

yea they are pretty quick and interior is also comfortable, but like your typical american car they have problems..and big ones. my friend had one and he had tons of problems with his, a week right before the engine blew, he had to spend 900bux to fix his brakes..

Shame the car is dirty!
Pic #1 FTW. I like the 2nd too, but it'll shrink when turned horizontal.
Why would you take pics of your car when it was so dirty? The pics with the bridge in the background would look really good if the car was turned around (and washed). First pic is nice too.

I got yelled at when i posted my car pics in off topic :(
I agree abotu teh washing. I think the first pic would be awsome, BUT the car looks really dull. Needs shined up. That and are those full size or scaled down? Because I know you need bigger for the calendar.

i always liked the looks of the aurora and the idea of the V8, but the price of parts for them is outragous.

Please say is has the shortstar in it.
Nice car, I was looking at those originally as first car, wouldn't mind picking one up with the shortstar in it...

Yeah, his dad was gonna wash it before we left, but he got busy and didn't find the time, then we really didn't have time to before we took off, and well... it just got dirtier on the 24hr drive home (rain and sleet and snow... oh my!) :)

Oh, and to answer questions I kinda missed...
Pics have been resized by photobucket, I have the large originals on my computer.
Would love to wash the car and take more pics at the gorge... but that's about 200 miles away... :(
and no, no shortstar... it's got the V8.
I'll have to get it washed next weekend (no real means to wash it before then) and find some places for cleaner pictures. :)

The 98's don't have the Shortstar... they have the L47 (V8) I thought the 99's had the Shorstar... (LX5 V6) :idunno:
Not really sure though...

Oh crumbs, I think I am wrong then?
I always thought the 4.0 L V8 was the short* ?
edit: *insert foot in mouth here*
It is based on the L47 Aurora V8, which is itself based on the Northstar engine, so engineers called it the Short North, though Oldsmobile fans have taken to calling it the Shortstar.
Sorry for the nagging and confusion Jaimerz
