Ok heres the thing i just recently installed the DHP 1.0 it installed fine started right up didnt need to do security re-learn, did the case relearn just to be safe, my problem's with the dhp are as follows ever since ive had it my tranny will slip on the 1-2 shift. Sometimes it shifts fine but for the most part it will slip(this is also only when i go wide open throttle. for the first couple days i ignored this because it always happened whenever i disconected my battery. Even when it does shift fine the shift isnt much harder then my old PCM when i had the tranny in 2nd. Sometimes just doing everyday driving the car will shift hard on the 1-2 shift which also worries me its been over 2 weeks hasnt gone away, now the thing is If i put it in 2nd where the tranny line pressure is increased even more it shifts fine(still not that much harder then before), ive emailed dhp and they say its the tranny even though the tranny has less then 80,000KM, and the fluid was changed less then a month ago and when it was changed fluid wasnt burned and there was no shavings on the bottom of the pan. Also when i turn off my car even if its only ran for 5 seconds first thing in the morning the fan still stays on for 2minutes. from DHP's specs its only supposed to stay on if the temp reaches a certain level. I doubt 5 seconds is enough to reach that. The final problem is that sometimes on the 1-2 shift it goes past 6000rpm before it even tries to shift. Also when i received the DHP it was quite dirty i cleaned it before it went in. All this just makes me worry about what i got. The biggest thing is i dont see the tranny being at fault for the slip if it shifts fine in 2nd where like i said before tranny line pressure is higher then if in D, so you would think the tranny can handle the perssure right?I thought maybe it was the battery/alternator had them both tested and both are working just fine. just wanted to get some of your guys opinions thanx.

I believe the fan thing is a parameter in itself, it is supposed to run the fans 2 minutes after shutoff regardless of temperature. The rest I dont know.

THe fans will always stay on pretty much.. the temp threshold is pretty low.
As far as the shifting.. it's a new pcm and will take a bit until the shifts firm up. at least a week or two.. if it doesn't clear up, theres also a common problem w/ the 1-2 shift, believe it's related to the shift solenoid
all this has been posted many time.. research stuff before you buy so you aren't caught off guard ;)

for me, it took a couple of weeks before the shifts firm up. As for the PCM being dirty, so was mine (a bit). they use returned cores but the progam and the inside should be just fine.
the PCM (like the stock one) learns your driving tendencies over time. Usually, the shifts are firmest when you accelerate the way you usually do. When you drive normally for a week and then go WOT, there is a bit of a slip from 1-2, depending also on your low-end torque. Overall, though, I drive pretty normally and sometimes floor it and it's been good for me. Make sure you are using at least 91 octane fuel, too
bottom line, mine has been great in the long run and the things you've described are pretty common in the first while

I realize the fan temp is pretty low 90C i think correct me if im wrong but when its -5c out and the car ran for 5 sec's i doubt it hit 90c that quick. and the shifting its been about 3 weeks i believe it seems to get better and when it does shift good it isnt shifting at 6000rpm its shifting and the old shift point but it is a bit firmer.
I did research the dhp for about a month before i bought it and when i did search on the forums everything i found said nothing but good things so when i had all these problems yes i was caught off guard just like anyone else.
