I have a 2000 red GT. Do you guys think I should get dual 7" racing stipes or not?

I like stripes in certain cases. Depends on color and style.

I did stripes on my gold, I've seen it done on a red ga, and I personally love them.

all depends on the car and the size of the stripes and so on, I have seen some grand ams I liked with the stripes and I have seen some I didnt like.

Hey Joe, how about black stripes on these for a silver GA, possibly red outlines on the flames, depending and how it's look. The stripes would start down in the grooves for the grills. SD Ram Air Hood (http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PFYC&Category_Code=GA&Product_Code=GA1003)
Depends on the actual flaring of the hood though, a second, closer glance sees that the area gets larger the farther back, so it may not look too great to do stripes.
Grr... putting a smiley instead of and equal sign and a P into the link, so just copy-paste, then substitute, sorry bout that. Otherwise, just look a little farther up in the thread, looks like Eric has that hood on his GA.

photoshop some on a pic of your car and see how you like it first

Fixed the link for you, disable smilies next time. I'm having a hard time picturing what ur describing, but I already know what the hood looks like.

I have to agree depends if it flows with the rest of the car hood, body kit, spoiler whatever else. If it would flow with the rest of the body, then why not. Depends on how you feel it would look

All that matters is that you would like it.. input is good though so I'll add my 2 cent quote. "If it isnt painted I dont want it on my car" imo, but on the step side there has been some sweet looking ga's around here with single strip's down the middle... I say go for it :D

If I was to install them, I would have two stripes. Each as wide as the nostrils and widen as they head to the rear. They would have to follow the lines of the hood.
Two straight lines wouldn't do it for me.

Yeah something like that would be cool, it would be awesome to see something unique, instead of the standard straight stripes....
well w/e you do i want some pics of course ;)

Ten, that's about what I said in my post, but I think the angle of the hood would make the stripes too big at the trunk. If I get that hood I'll check (won't happen for a long time, I'm poor), unless Eric has some input on this.

I ran in to the problem of the widening when I did mine. I wanted to follow the lines of the scoops but I couldn't go all the way to the rear like that. Solution. No stripes on the roof and standard straight stripes on the back.
