Well see I was looking for some insight from fellow members but appartently you guys dont want help you just want to demand people search and then you people make all the new threads i am sorry, next time you make any post i will be there making sure that i tell you serarch even if it is the most simplest thing in the world. And Ya know I run a forum of 8,000 + users, and you know i rarely ever see anyone say that in my forums.

You can use any good quality paint and primer. There are some types made for plastic.
Some people sand the parts to get a smooth finish. I used multiple coats and achieved the same results.
I washed the parts in dish soap and used a green scrubbing pad and parts cleaning brush to remove grease and dirt. A final cleaning with alcohol was applied just before the paint was laid on. Don't touch the surfaces to be painted unless you have clean cloth gloves.
I used two coats of primer, three coats of color and two to three coats of clear. All light to medium coat to prevent runs. The directions on the can will advise how much time between coats.

Well I dont know what forum you run but every one I have been on is the same. You ask a question that has been beating to death people will tell you to search. If the topic is covered over and over and over and over again there is no need to make a new post about it when all the good information is already up. Other wise we would just delete everything after a while, but we dont.

i just posted a thread about this and I found millions of post about how to do it.
None the less, Good luck and keep us posted of your progress.
As far as your forums and how you run them. All I can tell you is this isnt your forums. we were just stating that people post about this almost daily. Someone out of 22 pages has something that is usefull.

I don't know anything about paints, but I seem to recall somebody mentioning a paint made by Krylon; suitable for painting plastics.. Somebody correct me if that is wrong, as I know nothing about paint.

You are right. Krylon Fusion is a commonly used paint on the forums from my readings of this subject and God knows there is enough of them.
I actually used Krylon Fusion for my interior and there are pictures of it on here. True , I didnt take the time to do it right, but yeah its not a bad paint imo.
Are there better ones out there ? Im sure there are. I just happened to use one that was commonly used on here.
It cost about 3.60 at walmart or you can get it from Auto Zone for about 4.00

if everybody was as bad as you when making the title then i guess you wouldnt find anything useful in a search. the thing is, people post about it so often that it gets real annoying.
lots of people tend to just read and not post. at this point, theres almost no reason to post questions at all since almost everything related to these cars has been discussed. We are usually willing to answer questions up to a certain point.

I'm not too anal about the search feature. (not that it isn't annoying to some) After all...there would be no new members/threads if the search feature was always used.
With that said.....You can PM me with any questions....if you like. I painted some of my interior, and it's holding up quite well after two years. I can't promise all the answers.....but I'll give it a shot.
