Yup, with winter and snow coming, I had to turn the Pursuit in the winter mod. What a way to turn a decent looking car into a pretty ugly car.
Oh, and for the first time on the GAOC, you won't see my car sparkling clean !

While we are at it, here's my new addition to the car : an el cheapo antenna from Ebay. The original one was 31", this one is 13".

We had a antenna like that on the GA, I should have taken it when it went to the scrap yard.
BTW, how are the projection lights compaired to the stock ones?
I know your trying to protect them, but would the projections be better in bad weather?

John, the projectors aren't any better than the stock lights. They're more for look than anything. On low beams, the lightning is even worse than stock. On high beams they seem to be a little better, but maybe it's just me.
Also, I have a foggin problem on the passenger side projector than I need to solve. Maybe I'll drill a little hole under it to make the condensation go.
Does anybody have a better idea?

Condensation will always happen, like in my projector headlights....nothin is better than stock, I would just leave my lights to cause heat and once it is gone, make sure the sealants are tight and use some clear rubber sealant around the areas u think condensation is coming from

Hey, it's stealth.. Stealth is good
The steelies don't look so good but at least its just for the winter months, I always remove the bug deflector in the winter too cause I've seen too many cars around with deflectors busted up by snow sliding off the roof.

There's only four lugs on the Cobalt/Pursuit? Not a big deal I guess, but just a departure from the old GM norm, and something I hadn't noticed before. Do the Pursuit GT/Cobalt SS have 5 lug wheels?

Yeah that's the way it always seems to be. Unless you have higher wattage bulbs or HIDs in there, projector-type lights are usually never as good as reflector optics...
Personally I prefer covers on steelies as they don't make the car look too bad. Like not the gHey ricer covers, but you know like stock ones or similar.

Yup, both Pursuit GT and Cobalt SS have 5 lug wheels.
G5 SE and Cobalt LT 2007 now also have 5 lug.
I'm going to put wheels cover on the steelies as I had them last year... but I broke one of them while trying to put them on the car this afternoon. So intead of putting only 3, I waited till I get a new cap or a whole new set.

My thoughts exactly. I put some nice Projectors on a Civic years ago and it was about half the illumination. It was horrible.
When I purchased my motorcycle I wasn't looking forward to riding with projectors, however on my bike they are very bright they just have a very sharp horizontal cut off between illuminated road and darkness.
This past week I've been driving a Mazda 3 with factory projectors and that as well illuminates the road fine.
I think it's just aftermarket companies don't spend anytime with reseach and development.

I love rocking the steelies on a black car in the winter.

I used to call our GA "MadMax", if we had it this coming winte rI would have put some rim trim (pinstripe) on the outter lip.

Lamonpat, I have the same issues with my aftermarket projectors, it seems the high beams would almost work better as the low beam.. as for the winter tires, don't feel bad, the car looks just fine! I put winters on my Civic for the first time this year, and I am glad I did.. they already saved me from a near write off situation yesterday when a silly driver decided she'd cut right into my lane.. worth the investment!
