Hey All,

I started out by searching a bit, and didn't find what I was looking for so I thought I would add to the board.

1- What's the torque specs on the strut mount nut?

2- Does anyone have a part # for the bearing plate? I found AC Delco part #'s were 2220054 for the mount and 22716359 for the nut. But nothing on the bearing plate.

3- Anyone taken a bearing plate off and packed it with greases to keep it from sticking? (I haven't taken it off yet so I'm sorry if that's a dumb question)

4- Anyone know of a link to a writeup or something that details the replacement of the mount/bearing plate? (Is it just the nuts at the top of the tower and the 2 lower bolts? Or can you jsut undo the top nuts and lower it down to get at the plate and mount?

Thanks

Quick little addition. I sprayed alot of oil spray on the top of the tower where you can see the strut nut and the click when turning back and forth went away for now, I guess it's the bearing sticking.

In the rear, when I push down on the vehicle I can feel the nut move up and down on the left side. But the right side is tight. Also when I am driving it pulls to the left quite hard.

Would that just be the bearing finished in the drivers side rear?

Thanks

There is no bearing in the rear, you'll need spring compressors to take the pressure off the bearing before undoing the strut nut, if not you may get hurt and will never get it back together without spring compressors

duh, I should have realized that! Sorry

Yes I have spring compressors, I just want to make sure I go buy the right parts so I am not stuck in the middle of the job with missing parts.

Seems like if I get the mount frmo the dealer (front) it comes together with the bearing, I thought it was separate.

142$ CDN for the front and 90$CDN for the rear, not as bad as I thought.
