Due to my wonderful local dealer who didnt want to put the money up for ceramic brake pads, my brakes sound terrible. Im thinking of replacing the whole 9 yards, front and most likely rear braking systems....I am curious as to what my best bet is for everything that I would need to do a complete brake job(good brands...slotted rotors?.....best deals...) I am not afraid of putting money into this but want to get the most out of the least. Anyone with suggestions as to what works good for them would be very helpful. Thanks!

My car has been in twice for the dreaded warped rotors problem. They resurfaced the rotors, but made me pay for one set of pads. When it happens again, I am going for PowerSlot rotors and Green Stuff pads, out of my own pocket. I have heard lots of good things about these products. I have seen both of these on Tirerack.com and it seems to be a reputable and cheap place to buy them. I am pretty comfortable with doing this type of work myself, but if you're not you could have them put on by your mechanic. I have been pretty un-impressed with the braking ability of my '02 GAGT and the quality of the stock rotors, but I will keep making GM fix my car until the warranty is gone.
