well today when i got off work, i drove off and noticed that i had a flat tire. i replaced the flat tire and off i was back home. well when i drove off i heard a humming sound. i stop and thought that i over tighten then, so losen and tighten again.
still same sound(coming from front passenger side) then the abs light came on. so again took off the spare tire and inspected my brake lines. there a small leak coming from the passenger front side, hose that is running down.
from what i can see in the night with my flash light that my brakes are sticking for some reason or that something else is rubbing against something. i re tighten them and drove off. wish i could have some kinda recording but it like brakes are rubbing or at a higher speed (60 km) like a bearing that gave out.
well im really stubbed because i have had many flat tires before and have done the same thing. but by is the abs attacking up and causing my brakes to stay on applied:???: if any one can help me or think you have a solution to the problem. iam going to bring to the shop but would like to know why such a thing would happen. or if anyone has experienced that same problem and know what iam againts here:mad: thanks for your time and help.

I dont think abs is gonna hold yoru brakes on. The better questions is what ddi you run over to flaten yoru tires and did it bounce up and damage the break line?

I've seen this kind of problem before, and it had to do with the spare itself.
What are your normal 'road' tires and wheels (size and type of rubber; type of rim)?
What is your spare: OEM emergency donut, or a 'full-size'?
If full size, what size of tire, and type of rim?

You have a leak in your brake system. You saw it. Your ABS system sees it too and turned on its light. Get your brakes fixed. Get your tire fixed and then ask after the obvious is done

goodyear eagels should be 225/55 R16 and yes my spare is the crappy donut. i looked more into the whole abs and i belive that the smaller spare tire made the abs light turn on because that spare is turning faster then the other 3 tires,
i check by brake fluid level and is full so it must be a very small leak or something else that fallen onto.
i got my tire fixed and put back on and that grinding/bearing sound disapeared, but my question is that smaller donut spare tire make that normal sound.. or is there somthing like cv joint/bearing are damage or about to go. just to add in my struts are original and have roughly 280,000km on them now and from what i can think of is all the extra wieght on the spare tire put strain on other componets?
iam going to be replacing my brakes/shocks-struts because they need to anyway. but if anyone wants to add to this so that others may find an answer. thanks for your replys, ill update if anything else occurs

If your tires are 225/55-16, they are oversized. Optional tires are 205/55-16. You could use 225/50-16 if they fit as they are the same dimension.
If you have a fluid leak, fix it. There is no such thing as too small a brake fluid leak.

how did you manage to fit 225/55R16's on??
when I got my rims from the scrapper, the rears had 215/55R16's. They were in better shape than the fronts so I tried to put them up front, but the 215's were too big, and rubbed against the struts. Fit perfect in the rear however.
