Hey Everyone, i got a alpine class d, 400rms 600max one channel 2 ohm. now i know almost nothing when it comes to ohm or what they mean. but could i hook up a dual voice coil 10 4 ohm to it? how should i hook it up??? thanks for all the help.......

That sub and amp should work well together since the amp pushes 600W x 1 at 2ohms and the sub has an RMS of 600W. You'd want to wire the voice coils in Parallel to present a 2ohm load. It should look like this:

I have almost the same amp (older model the m-500) its solid you'll like it :) Dont know about the newer models but the older ones came with a build sheet and they were underrated so it may be closer to 650w @ 2 ohm

where should leave the gain at? leaving it at normal seems like it is killing the speaker...... it is alittle bit louder than my old setup
