EBCM variable steering

Does anyone know how I could find out if my car has variable steering?

Generally it was included with the 3.4L V6 and 16" aluminum wheels. To find out for sure. look for RPO code NV7 on the RPO sticker under the spare tire cover. If you have NV7 listed, you have the variable effort power steering.

EASY,if your power steering pump has a electrical connection near it then you have it

Thanks, had to replace the EBCM and wasn't sure which one I had.

Yes, open your little manual thing, open the paper that says what was ordered on the car when it was built...

I forgot to ask before, but speaking of steering
the other night mine was making a strange sound while turning the wheel, i noticed it while parking
If you've ever washed windows and made them make that wiping on glass sound then you know what i'm talking about, sounds just like it
whats the deal?

If your talking about the sound that is comming from inside the car, I have it too, along with a lot of other people. It's a whirling type sound and if you do a search for it there are lots of ideas on where it is comming from.

I tried to spray some lube in some places on the steering columb one day but it didn't help.
