I have a 1995 Grand Am GT with the 3100 V6, and I have a Air/Fuel mix problem.
Here's what happened:
1. I cleaned out the EGR Port with Carb Cleaner and a wire, I had a wad of paper towel to block the intake.
2. After the EGR was cleaned out, the towel was removed, some of the carb cleaner got into the intake, thus burning us my O2 sensor.
3. I had a rich air/fuel mix, and a SES light for code 13: O2 sensor showing open circuit or short.
4. Replaced the O2 Sensor, cleared the code, Air/fuel mix is still rich.
So now I have no codes, no SES light, and the Air/Fuel mix is still too rich. You can smell it in the exhaust, and the Idle is very rough, and it stalls.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
