View Full Version : Beware of scammers!!!

There have been a few instances in this section lately of people getting ripped off by dishonest sellers. This is going to stop NOW, or this entire section will be closed forever!
For example: wushdishmeen has re-registered as amp, likely to escape his reputation as a dishonest seller. His accounts have been banned. If anyone has any pending transactions with wushdishmeen/amp, they should contact wushdishmeen at either of his 2 email addresses:
wushdishmeen@optonline.net or ayaotd@mail.com
Please keep in mind that the Grand Am Owners Club is not responsible for any transactions that take place on the forums. You should take any and all necessary precautions when dealing with a member here. Do not assume that it is safe to purchase something just because they're a member!! We encourage you all to use the Trader Rating system both before and after the sale. Check their feedback before buying. It is also a good idea to use a payment service like Paypal (https://www.paypal.com) to provide at least some level of protection.
These events are very unfortunate, and it seems that a few members are ruining this section for everyone. Words can not express how truly disappointed I am right now. :(

Not much that I can add to the above statement as Shawn and I see "eye-to-eye" on this but I would like to say that I too have noticed an increased number of 'questionable sales' in this section as of late ... in this regard, I want to reiterate what Shawn said above that if we don't soon start seeing the section used for what it was intended it will be closed, period ... it is always a few idiots that ruin things for others.

This is getting really annoying. The transaction I had with BlackGT was NOT a scam. It was a mere misunderstanding with no choice to bargain to solve the problem. He contacted the police because he felt he was getting scammed which resulted in my mother getting a phone call and a visit from a police officer saying I was trying to commit internet fraud. This was untrue, the money situation was what caused the problem and I apologized for it and he was written a check in the full amount that he payed. No OTHER people have purchased items from me since then. Also, I have done transactions here in the past buying and selling and had no problems. It all started with this and now I keep getting called a scammer just because everyone had to run their mouth on the post and make me look bad.
Either way whatever, ban my account. I had my time on here anyways...good luck

I'd like to know who scammed anyone? Other then considering my sale of the borla catback a scam, what other names on this forum have scammed people. It seems like this all started with my post and nothing else...and nothing else has arisen either. is it just me? :roll2:

I think everyone has had some form of trouble when buying online...I have myself, and all you can do is be prepared, heed peoples warnings and use the trader rating system as mentioned.
Everyone just needs to keep their eyes open, and hope for the best.

He stole the money for an entire car??? or am i reading that wrong.
On other words, I understand that people were all skeptic about me since the way BlackGT worded everything. I was kind of shady with him only because when I received the money from him I ran into problems with money and I screwed myself over. It was a mistake, whether it was justified or not I did not intend to scam anyone seeing as I like both forums and got help from people on here and would never do that.
My plan was to bargain with him and within 2 weeks I would of got my paycheck from work and payed him back fully but he got fidgety and abused his position at his job to gather personal information about me and my entire family (including relatives). Now if anything, I could of took him to court for that even though I was the wrong person in the beginning. But I let it go and he was sent a check in full, so the problem is gone. I made a new name on here, yes, because my reputation was soured but I still had items laying around here that need to go. I was going to post pictures of the items to proove I had them and take much more precaution with the new name.
Since I am probably going to be banned over this, I'm sorry. I'm glad some of you took time out to help me with some questions and problems while it lasted, im very greatful to the actual good members on here. I've been here for a year now and never had a problem until just recently, so if I came here to scam why wouldn't I have done it so long ago??? Think about it. Farewell.

I agree and I recently saw a "sale" on GAGT where a well known intake was misrepresented and sold to two different people. They got parts for an intake that they could have gotten cheaper on ebay.
Be careful, look closely at pictures and descriptions and protect yourself.

Haha I won't argue with that. The way the last sale turned out indeed makes me a shitty seller. But it won't happen again, I wouldn't let it and probably because i'll get banned.

I bought ram-air setup off of you, after I sent the money you tried to raise the price. I declined and you were very slow about returning my money (50 dollars) So after a week I just turned you in to PayPal.
You sent me a nasty PM about not being patient, but I did get my money back from PayPal.
You know how PayPal works and you had an account 6 months ago when you tried to screw me.
I wish I would have given you a bad feedback then, but I really thought that you may have misunderstood our agreement and I gave you the benefit of a doubt.
I’m really sorry I didn’t give you that bad feedback, now that you tried to burn someone else.

There's bad deals everywhere, even here. I know of two that didn't go "public". I'm sure Kelly and Shawn know of many more and their respect for the individuals prevent them from getting out of hand.
Be careful when buying anything. Most people are honest and a few rely on your trust to take your money.

I've only sold a few things over the forums, most I sell/buy on ebay never usually any problems.
Communication is important. Make sure you know what your getting and everything is clear as day. Also unless you personally know and trust the other person, always use a middle man like Paypal.
My only close call was when I was purchasing a set of wheels for my old motorcycle on ebay. The guy said he's end the auction early for me and ship them out asap. In his auction he said it was $40 to ship them, but when I called him he said it was $480 for "shipping and handling". I mentioned the auction said $40 and he said "Yes, $40 for shipping the other $40 is for packaging materials and his time..." Yeah right. And on top of it he would only take a money order. I told him it would be there friday and never sent anythign basically telling him to eff off.
That was fine by me cause I ended up getting fully polished ones with half decent tires for less a few weeks later.

Ive bought a few things from the forums and ive never had a problem at all. I even bought my chrome techs off a member and they were shipped really quick, perfect condition. I come on here every night just to check to see whats for sale cuz you never know when you will get a good deal. Its a shame when people take advantage of that. If this section went, i wouldnt be on here as much. I dont post much but i check this site every night.

I do not remember ever having any transaction with you at all. If that was the case, as you notice you sent the money and it was refunded. I sold my ram air setup on ebay not on here. But I might have put up a for sale, which doesnt matter anyway. You weren't scammed so why are you bringing up old garbage. That doesn't justify anything just because you sent me money and I didn't want it and sent it back.
I honestly do not remember that ever occuring either way but whatever.

^^ not to get into the middle of this but it clearly shows your email address ....so OBVIOUSLY you are lieing about not having anything to do with that transaction even if you did refund the money.
I've sold and bought from people on here without a problem. GAGT is another story. :(

I bought my suspension from a fellow member, went great and got exactly what was claimed. But I have also been ripped off when I bought my rear disk brake setup. I only got part of what was needed. And then some parts were from the wrong year GA. WTF.
So I don't think I will buy again online unless I know the seller or he/she has a positive (read fantastic) trader rating. Always sucks when a few ruin it for everyone. BTW, I just backed out of a purchase of a stage 2 spec clutch cause I was worried about getting scammed.
Wush, this is not about you just my $.02

Its doesnt seem like you refunded the money, its seems like paypal forced you to return the money to me, other wise there wouldnt of been a case filed.

Ok I dont like to get in the middle of a lot of stuff but man you are a total asshat. That was apparently 6-7 months ago. How can you seriously say that you do not remember what stuff you sold?? It clearly shows that he paid you and then paypal forced you to refund him. I HATE people that take advantage of other people on the internet. It shows that the person has a weak soul and instead of working and making a living likes to take advantage of people who makes a living working.
Ive already bought and sold things on this forum and the have gone pretty smooth. I will continue to do it because its us forum members that have to look out for each other. Just like the warming we got about this guy.

This post is not about my honesty or integrity.
As for "weak souls"...I have a job, I work for my living and do not scam people on the internet for money. So quit the assumptions.
I didnt remember making the transaction with him because it was a long time ago, and I sold alot of stuff on here. Now i do, and I do remember selling my ram air setup obviously but I remembered putting it on ebay and selling it and that was it, I forgot there was problems on here first hand. I guess it took me saying that I never had a problem on here to make someone dig back into the past and find something that makes me look "wrong".
I recall the entire situation anyhow, he did not FORCE me to give the money back so do not even lie. I remember you sent me the money and I said that I was selling it on ebay and could get more. You got all pissy and had a paypal claim filed before I even returned to see your reply to my message. Therefor when you file a claim with paypal it locks the funds and forces you to wait until the claim is over to receive your money back rather then just talking it out with me and I could of sent your money back. I remember specifically saying that to you that "now your going to have to wait till paypal decides the case since you were impatient"
so you were pretty dishonest as well

Suggestion to the mods... implement a seller rating script. If you can't find one (or would rather not), I may be able to scour one up or modify one to suit.
To wushdishmeen, you've been found out... just give up. You are a shady seller. You can save a million lives, but kill one person and you are condemned as a murderer. To put it simply, your trading on this forum is done. There is nothing you can argue. If you need to unload your other stuff, I suggest you do it on eBay (assuming you haven't tainted your reputation there as well).

I dont care to save my reputation on this forum, im simply arguing the fact that people call me a liar yet lie themselves just because they are on the combatting side of the argument.
The paypal timeline doesnt add up? You know exactly what happened since you were the one who remembered. The timeline shows you filed the claim, it sent us both an email for info and then you were refunded. The reason you had to wait is because you made the claim not because I didn't give your money back. Maybe if you saved messages on this forum back that far it would show but you only have a webpage that shows a transaction where you filed a claim...nothing more. Just because your an older man doesnt mean you have leverage over anybody...im suprised you had enough time to slouch on this forum for so long and respond.
I could care less about my reputation i know for a fact i made sales and purchases on this forum with no problem there is bound to be mishaps. You people all just think your angels because you haven't been exposed of any mistakes as of yet.
An actual scammer would take your money and run and never be heard of again. Why would I stay here and speak for myself if I wanted to steal people's money...give me a break. I'm not selling or buying on here anymore anyways so good luck to you all when a actual scammer gets away with your cash.
