Saw this link in a thread right as I was about to ask for a site that provided a solution for hid lights with the 9007 bulb. I understand with the 9007 kit, you get a hid low beam and a regular 55w white halogen bulb for the highs. And you can choose your output, which I was gonna get the 4300k, cuz I know that's about as close to the best light output without getting too colored and shit. If I wanted to get hi/low hid, then I would HAVE to get the 9007 Bi-Xenon kit then right? This only gives 6k or 8k choices, so I'd go with 6k. But I'm not missing anything here am I? If I want hi/low hid, then the 9007 hid is the way to go right? Anyone do this before? Is it worth it having the hi/low or not? I figured that it would be, but a lil explanation or redirection would be sweet, as I know shit about headlights, and I am wanting to do a hid conversion. Thanks!

dont get the bi-xenons. the highbeam output on a bi-xenon's highbeam is much worse than a halogen. get the halogen/HID setup in a 4300k. i got 6000k and wish i hadn't, 4300k is stock output temp and by far the best (why do you think they use it the most?).

K thanks for the input, I appreciate it. When I got the car, I only upgraded to Sylvania Silverstar bulbs, and I like the output they've added, but this kit should def make a difference right?

One thing I was wondering - will our headlights properly reflect a HID beam? I was reading on another one of my car sites and someone said stock oem headlight housings are not designed for hids. Is there a housing that is better suited for hids or are our housings completely ok, or is this info I heard total bullshit? Please let me know. I don't wanna buy this kit then find that they will look like shit in my car.

So then what do you suggest? Get a projector setup like yours or what?

With a 4000k-8000k HID kit you will not need your high's anymore anyways.

you should be fine getting some HID's in there, just make sure you aim them low so as not to blind anyone. some people who get them have had success so i dont see why you wont. ive only had HIDs in projector setups so i cant speak from personal experience, btu i dont see why youd have a bad experience.
more people on www.grandamgt.com have had experience with them, theres a few threads, might wanna check it out. just search for bi-xenon or halogen hid or something.

HI all,

Pyro, let's here more about your projector setup, please.... Like where you got it from, and a write up of the install would be way cool too! HAHA!! I wouldn't doubt if you've already done this already......

edit: What would be a good kit to buy that wouldn't be difficult for us backyard mechs to put in..... As the consensus is, the 4300 kit would be the best suited, but that is about all I can understand when I look at this site.......lol.....
