Jay came over the other day and we took some night shots of my car cause jay has a cool camera lol. Some of them are a little burry cause the shutter has to stayn open for so long with night pictures and its hard to hold the camera that steady for that long.

Very nice, Joe!! I like the blue of your car against the red glow from the streetlamps.
If I may offer a suggestion, why not set the camera on one of those concrete pylons and use the self timer? There you will get the sharp images. Also, while still using the slow speeds, why not add a bit of fill flash to the image? Say something around a -2 ratio on the flash. This will then give some more detail but with a flash exposure compensation of -2, it will not make the car overly bright. It will provide a more pleasing image.

^ your talking all kinds of technicall talk that I do not have the brain capacity for. I did use the concrete plyones but if you look closly they were rounded at the top so you still had to hold one side of the camera or it would have been a weird angeled shot.

Also, I love those rims but if I got a set...they would be in aluminum or gunmetal

Oh Joe you DO have the brain capacity for it! I just have learned how to work with flash. And if I can do it, I KNOW you can do it! :)

Ok, I could not tell that it was rounded. Now jay's camera, is it a compact or a DSLR? I guess though you could simply hold the back of the camera against the vertical section of the I-beams. Or you couold shoot a vertical and put the camera bottom against the sides of the I-beams.

Its not compact, its a decent sized camera. I should have thought of that with the beams......

I'm usually not a big fan of the "night shots", mostly because nobody does them right, thay always wind up looking so "amateur", but, I've got to say, these are the best night shots I've ever seen! :thewave: Very well done!
