As for the badges a lot of goo gone and fishing line was used. My finger nails are kinda sore right now. After I got the gunk off I washed the car, then polished it with Megs ColorX and then hit it up with a layer of Megs NXT wax paste. I like the finished product a lot. So yay for me.
Fun bday for me I guess. lol

Nic, it took about an hour to just take off the badges because I didnt have a heat gun so blah. All in all it took around 3 hours to do it with the wash, clay, polish and wax.

Ahhh, good times. Reminds me of taking mine off back in high school. I cut 'em off with the line before school one morning, then heated up the gunk and peeled it off by hand when i got home.
Looks good. it's amazing how much smoother the car looks sans badging.

Yea I was pretty iffy about how it would look but it does flow a lot better without the huge GRAND AM SE on the doors. Plus I wanted to take off the V6 badge anyway.
Joe I think yours would look amazing without the badges. I mean your car is so smooth anyways and then to not have anything on it would be awesome. ;)

Looks great...
However odd reading people's reactions.
Just a few months ago someone debadged their car (a white SE IIRC) and everyone was hating on it.
Oh what a tangled web we weave.

I took my badges off last spring. It was easier than trying to get the wax out of the crannies.
I have to get some dual post mirrors and some peanut butter, those look nice.

OF course its going to leave the sticky stuff there but you can peel it off kinda easy. Then you have to wax it afterwards because where the badges were there isnt any so you got to protect that. Its rather easy.
YOu can get them cheap on ebay. lol

Yup. PB does the trick. I just put it on there, waited 15 minutes and then used a good size towel to wipe it off. Then hit it up with polish and wax.
