it's actually very hard, involves tearing everything off of the head (obviously), then the timing chain which is a bitch followed by power steering and cam towers then finally the head. it's very involved and is not fun.

Suprize, it is harder than you may think. It is easy if you like dealing with something designed by an idiot. ie the space to work on things. LOL
Remove "not in order"
The ignition system on top, fuel lines, wire connectors, heater hose, radiator hoses, battery connections, fan,
Oil pan, in and exhaust manifolds, drain coolant, motor mount on passenger side. Serpentine belt, balancer, timing chain cover,
tensioner, guides, chain, cam sprockets, aluminum timing chain housing, cam covers, cams, lifter towers/blocks, head bolts, then the head.
When your ready to put it back on.
The long bolts 30 ft lbs, the short bolts 26 ft lbs. no your not finished yet. Then they get turned an additional 90 degrees.
Personally, when I have to do all that, I just take the engine out.
Have fun. Its definatly a fun one. If your lucky the 3 mount bracket bolts will break free. I had one that the factory boys must have been laughing at. They were very tight.
And then when you get it all back to gether and find out you have some kinda problem then you start all over again.
