I figure i'd post here some "release" pics of the ride

It's still not all the way done. Not seen here are the m3 mirrors that were on the car (they are going back on) or most of the interior. These are the only shots I have, so bear with me. Also, these pics were taken after a rain fall so it's dirty and gross. I won't have any clean / perfect pics til prolly spring. Full mod list at the bottom

Ok first up:

This is a pic of the fade that was sprayed on the cf hood. The paint fades into the CF on the line that follows the headlights, and the front is just whatever. There is no paint on the back end of it:

Next is a pass side shot, just showing the whole car:

Next is just a front shot... I love this hood as depending on the angle, it doesn't even look like cf (as here it looks like just black paint). Don't mind the guy buffing. The max off to the right is my dd. And for the record, i'm not a ricer... the single wiper blade was because I had to drive it in the rain. Normally there are no wiper blades on the car at all.

Last but not least is the audio / video install. The big empty rectangle is where my x-box goes. As you'll notice there are no back panels... they were not dry when the pics were taken. I have another screen just like the one shown to be installed, and I have a flip out up front

I took my wing off and put the SE tails in for the winter and I'm liking the simple look. I have thick white tape over the holes in the trunk. I'll get some shots when I put the snows on this weekend.

Yea dude, I bought the hood back in march or so.

It does look much cleaner Gus, I don't know if I'm a fan of the spoilerless look, but I'm also definately not a fan of the height of the AED wing you had. Those tails look good on a dark colored car, but IDK how theyd look on a bright car.

Um, not in its current state... there are a couple on my cardomain site. These pics were just on the fly from the shop... I won't have any professional pics prolly til spring. Definitely the aed tailz :)

yes it was. There was damage to it in a few spots and I couldn't have it fixed because of how complex / custom it was so I got it shot a color that anyone could paint it when i mess it up

I remember seeing these a while ago. Looks like progress is really moving man, I'd like to get AED tails but it says they are -3 in stock so I'm not going to buy them. If someone knew what the wait time was I might consider it.

I don't like the hood clips BUT HEy IT's still..... Very Clean and awsome looking. I love to see quality body work and not just stickers and wings this is a nice change........BUT>>>just needs a small touch****** get some of those chrome plated bulbs for front turnsignals (to get rid of that yellow color when it's parked) that's all :)

simple paint - Yes! LOL... black was the original color, and I really dont like cf on any other color than black, so that was pretty much the determining factor there

I'm not sure how Len keeps his aed store updated. Best bet is to call him (or susana) directly and see. I doubt they are making them anymore. They make like 10 bucks on a set, and a ton of time is involved. I think Len made these more like a "get em while you can" part.. but I could be wrong

Alberto- I hear ya on the hood pins... I just don't trust CF w/ the two bolts holding the hood clip as my only source of holding the hood down because of the weight. It's like, not even 10lbs. As for the bulbs go, I like the amber... i find it to be a nice offset to the rest of the car... and that is also why I have the amber tailz... so the front and back match :)

Pey- I don't remember off the top of my head, but i'm thinking 235/35/19... i'll double check for ya tonight

no wing is deff a great look for our year GAs. im so used to the sparkle that seeing you car plain black is weird. but i cant complain cause i turned my ga from green to black. :) nice and clean gus very nice. where was that shot taken?

Actually there is nothing done under the hood... yet. I mean, I have a warm air intake, and that's about it

By mid next week I should have all the parts I need for my supercharger... although I may not be putting that on til spring...

it's still right around 4" I would have to guess as I can still just get my toe under the front... but when I get it back from the shop and put the front end on again i'll measure for ya :)

Over all....car looks great...as usual!!!!!

-Love the new rims and system set up....can't wait to see everything in and back together
-I like the Black....but not as much as the old color (but I understand why you did it)
-not sure about the fade....maybe it looks better in person
-really don't like the hood pins
-I've always been jeleous of the 96-98 tail lights.....fitment is SOOO much better without lenses :drool:

Can't wait to see the S/C in...now you need to get that engine bay cleaned up....lol
