Ok i know this has been covered many times. I used this information last year when the car wouldnt start.
However, I am in a hurry. My Fiancee is stuck in Warren PA, and Im in NY. Im working, and I have about 10 minutes to view the internet. So please help me.
2001 2.4 Auto Se.
Shes driving and the car goes about a mile, and then dies.
She lets it set for 3-5 minutes and it starts up no problem.
Security Light Isnt Flashing But is instead a Solid Light
I tell her to reset it
She drives another 30 miles and it dies
She finally makes it to right outside Warren and the tow truck brings it to the dealership for her.
They reset the Security System for her and he hit the fuel pump and it works. But they aren't sure how long it will last.
I am skeptical only because last time I believe we replaced the Pump for no reason, as after it was replaced, it still didn't work, and only then did we realize the Security system had kicked on.
Can anyone give me some advice....
I will try and check back but i dont think I will be back here untill I am ready to leave for Warren when i get out of work...
