I did not drive my GA for about 10 days. Over that time, I have had a condensation buildup on the inside of all the windows.

I have wet floors- mainly the drivers side- and need some thoughts on stopping this. It hasn't rained here since last week- but the condensation probably has something to do with the leak.

ALSO- my HVAC systems is not blowing any air. The fuses are OK, it sounds like the vacuum controls are working properly, what next???

The Haynes manual (and through my own observation) says that the blower motor needs to have the plastic sheathing cut in order to remove the motor. My plastic cover is pretty cracked- can I just get rid of this cover???

TIA- RL

Sounds like a coolant leak from what I've read on here. Rick will probably be able to help you alot when he reads your post, he's good with cars.

Find that leak, and plug it.
I understand that the seal at the steering column is prone to leaking.
There have been several threads about leaks at the windshield/cowl/firewall, so you should do a 'search' here in Problems and Solutions.
Also, the 'Bodywork' forum.

Dry it out ASAP, using good ventilation.
Mold is gonna develop soon, and you prolly already have some rust in the floor pan under the carpet.

I live in the desert.
We don't get any rain, nothing ever leaks, and if it did it would dry so fast we wouldn't know it happened. :D :D
* * *

My HVAC fan cover cracked all-to-hell, and I just peeled-off more and more pieces with no *apparent* ill effects.

Though it might be your fan motor that's failed, I think you need some more diagnostics before assuming that's the problem and tearing in.
If nothing else, I *think* the fan fuse is a large one in the Junction Block under the hood, so make sure you've checked there.

Hope this helps,
-Rick

Thanks all- my blower mysteriously came back to life today.

As for the leaks- when I got the car it had about 4 inches of water in it. I figured it was due to the window being slightly cracked and it being parked in a puddle that was easily to the bottom of the doors.

It feels like the steering column might be the way to go..I will being checking that out ASAP.

Thanks again.
