Hello all,

New Moncton Member here. Me and my wife (She will likely have her own login here shortly) are active car enthuthists. We were an active part of the MRNEC (NEON) Club for awhile.
We just purchased an 03 GA GT and look forward to doing some minor mods to it as we had done to the Neon. Obviously a CAI is gonna happen in some form (Anyone selling a used one or know a cheap local place to get one?). The Neon had suspension changes, exhaust changes, and other mods but not sure how far we are wanting to go on the GA. Any suggestions out there for our local climate? I prefer the do it yourself mods and the fairly inexpensive mods to start with. Also, the car has to last a few years so anything done to it either has to come off easily or not damage the stock stuff. Also into Video/Audio upgrades but have a 9 1/2 month old daughter that get priority over the car.

I just wanted to say Hi, I checked out many of the posts on this site before posting so if any of these questions are duplicated, sorry, I didn't see them. Also, is this the right forum for Atlantic chats or is it meets only. (Mod, you can move my post if it is incorrect)

Look forward to meeting some of you and seeing your rides.

Welcome, Scott!! As you may know, the owners of this site (Kelly & I) are both from the Maritimes. We host meets throughout the summer,, and usually kick off the season with a meet in Moncton for the Moncton car show. You can look at past photos of Maritime meets here: http://www.gaownersclub.com/gallery/index.php?cat=4

As for your CAI, you have many choices. I don't know of anything local, but there are several available for us. The cheapest will be found on ebay. The best is probably the Dr. Speed Stage 3 CAI. http://www.drspeed.com You can build your own for a price in between. I'm running a Dr. Speed Stage 1 WAI with great results.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. Yeh, I looked at the Dr. Speed and they look great, I'm thinking the Stage 3 is what I'm gonna with because it looks so clean, the last one I built didn't look that good :) Last quick question I have for ya, I see you have a SC/T hood, did you pick that up local or ordered? What's the average price of those?

Thought I'd post a pic of the Neon and then what I just bought. Some of you may recognize my old car.

As you can see, I have a little work to go, but the new car is only 2 weeks old :D Only thing different this time is less decals and maybe not suspension work.

I got the hood locally, but it has been discontinued as an accessory from GM. You can get a clone hood through http://www.pfyc.com for $709 US, plus shipping. Or, you can try to find one as a replacement body part through a body shop.

Can't really say that I have seen your car, but don't live too far from Moncton so could be possible.
