I have been searching on here for about an hour now and I can't find the LIM gasket thread. Mine are bad and I'm going to replace them within the month. It would be greatly appreciated if I could get the gasket part number and a how-to. I plan on purchasing one of the repair manuals. Any suggestions? Thank you very much.

1. Get the Haynes model now, about $20, so you can study the procedure and look at your engine bay, before you jump in.
* That will give you the basic steps to be performed (kinda; there isn't a true 'procedure' in there for the LIM gasket replacement; rather, you follow the steps for 'top-end removal' (or similar, I don't recall offhand), and stop before you remove the cylinder heads.
* The comments in the various GAOC threads are more regarding hands-on tips, like beware of the two different pushrod lengths.
* Before you start the work, aim some strong lighting at the engine and take numerous photos; stop during the teardown and take more. When you go to reassemble, those photos are very helpful in determining what-goes-where.
(In the old-days, we had a Polaroid camera in the shop for 'instant' photos; do youngsters even know what a Polaroid was??)

2. I don't know the 'part number' for the repair kit.
But it's gonna be the only kit that FelPro (major brand of gaskets) offers for the repair.
It includes everything, EXCEPT the O-rings for the fuel line fittings at the supply and return of the fuel rail; buy these over-the-counter at the parts store.

3. There are numerous threads in this forum regarding LIM replacement, so you're not just searching for "THE thread".
* Sorry, I don't think anybody has compiled the assorted knowledge into a 'definitive' post or sticky.
* Keep searching, the info IS there (here?).

Good luck, hope this helps.
