My wife owns a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am SE with V-6 engine. The problem is her winshield wiper arms going too far to the left on winshield and not far enough down to clear all the rain off the winshield. I just notice it when I drove her car the other day while it was raining out side. She is only 5ft tall and needs to see out bottom of windshield. I figured it was out of alinement. So I took the plastic cap off from bottom of winshield wiper arm and removed the nut. But I just cant get the stupid arm off its post. There something I am doing wrong here ? Or there another way to to get the winshield wiper arms to go down farther when its turned on ? Once the winshield wipers are turned off, they go back to their home position.
