How easy is it to take apart 99+ gt taillights. I got the AED tails and I want to use the lens off a gt and the molding around the outside. If someone could give me some tips that would be great! Thanks all..

DIY Clear Taillights - GT Models Only Printer-Friendly Version

Plastic/Rubber Epoxy Glue

Step-By-Step Instructions
Open trunk and remove the carpet from behind the taillight.
Remove the four hand-removable nuts that secure the taillight.
Remove the taillight from the car.
Disconnect the power cable.
Remove the rubber gasket from around the taillight. It is secured by an epoxy-like glue.
Using the flat-blade paint scraper, start at one end and carefully pry around the outside edge of the lens, where the two halves are secured. You will hear cracking sounds, however, as long as you take your time and be patient, you will eventually separate the two halves. It is best to start at the rounded bottom edge.
Once you have the two halves separated, simply remove the red reflective pieces. They are held in place by small tabs.
Place a bead of silicone around the edge of the lens where they were separated.
Place halves back together, clamping them to ensure a good seal. Allow the silicone to dry for at least 12 hours.
Reinstall rubber gasket using the epoxy.
Install the new 3157 or 3357 red bulbs (3357 are the same base style, dual filament bulb, just a higher wattage).
Reinstall the taillight, ensuring that you reconnect the power cable.
Thanks to DetroitGAGT for the pic!

If you look under http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=29 there is a sticky for apperance mods. Click it and you will find the thread on it.

For common appearance mods I would check there before I posted :) Good luck

There should be a stickey on how to do a search lol
