Flashing SES LIGHT!!! cAr shaking

My car started shaking and trembling and IS very very rough to drive. the SES ligth is blinking along witht he shaking. Its not too driveable.......
I took it to the diagnostic and they told me the PCM was bad....
could this be?????
It has new plugs and coils.
its a 2.4 99 grand am.
Anyone have experices like this???
