well since this is the first real thread.. ill try and make it important. Ok does anyone notice a plastic covering around the back seat doors near the side runners? I wish i had a digital camera to show where i mean.. but its just above the side runners and its right next to the wheel well. Im wondering if you can buy that stuff anywhere becasue mine seems to be coming off partially and rocks and sands always get between it and the paint which is casuing it to scratch my paint.. any ideas? hopefully i will be getting a digital soon so i can explain these questions a lot better

I'm not really sure what you are talking about. I know a picture would really help

I think I know what you are talking about, I noticed it on mine also. It appears to be a protective coating, similar to Z-Shield sold by Ziebarts Tidy Car. I fi I am in the right area that you are referring to, it makes sense to have it there, as by the design of the car a propencity of rock chipping is probably high in that area.

I am not sure where you can buy it, but I suspect auto part stores would have it. Ziebarts does for sure, I was just asking them about it.

I don't know about places like Alter Impact, but the local vynil shops around here carry that kind of clear protective film for areas that have a high propensity for rock damage, such as the lip of the hood and the rocker's behind the wheel wells. That might be what you're looking for.

Go to a local parts place and ask if they have TrimBrite products. You want #T9020, 6"x12' clear body film.

I have never liked using that plastic crap. it falls off and turns yellow after about 1 year. makes a real mess. i would just suggest mud flaps and or depending on how many gravel roads you drive on, get running boards installed. not great looking in any way but def protect the car
