my question is there a difference in size between the 1989-1992 and 1993-1994 ho throttle bodies?...and why does everyone prefer the 93-94?

The configuration of the early TB's is too odd for use in the HO manifold swap... there's coolant lines, IAT is in an odd spot etc. Use the later one - it will work with the 2.4 TB IAT and TPS.

coolant lines?...

Many engines have coolant lines on the TB avoid freezing/sticking throttle in the winter. Later revisions eliminated them.

SCS? As in secret cam swap? Mileage doesn't matter - just be sure to read what you're getting into - purchase new lifters, etc.

although the early TB's are alittle bulky. I am using one, and it works for me. For the coolant hook up on them, you just unbolt the black plastic part and throw it away.

yea, for cam swap, as matt said, know what you are getting into. I was going to do it - but I decided against it since Im not mechanically inclined enough to screw with the timing chain (and timing chain cover).

i have managed to get a 94 HO intake Mani And TB($30 both)...but before i brought it home i didnt notice that the TPS and IAC sensors are gone can i use my 2.4 sensors on the 2.3? and if not can the sensors be off any 2.3 LO or HO?

sensors must be off the 2.3 and must be for that year 2.3 (since the TB vary over the years) i dont think there is a difference on the LO and HO sensors. so you should be fine. Best would be to call a dealership or go to a parts store and see if they are different part numbers for the same year HO and LO snesors

well by searching around on parts sites that it doesn't matter if its HO or not but if i assume right it does matter what year the TB is and i dont know what year (93 or 94) it is, so im kinda at a stand still unless some one knows of any differece i can physically look for and tell.

post a picture of the TB, someone should be able to identify it. Or look at my swap guide, i have two versions posted.

You should be able to swap the TPS and IAC from your 2.4 TB onto the 2.3 TB. I'm using my 2.3 TPS and IAC on a 2.4 TB.
