Now that I actualy have the car....
(was free..hehe love it)

what it definatly needs help with...
drivers side power window motor works when it feels like it
radiator has a small leak
engine misses a bit ( at about 4k rpm the tack bounces a little)
we think it needs a timing belt and a tune up
Brakes are....OK...

What I WANT to do to it.

Get out the dremel and polish the exhaust tips
5 Spoke Rims - 16"??? Maybe...
Eyelids if possible
Slight window tint - 25% maybe?
Repair the hood - undent it and touch it up, just got the paint
Smoking the signals and headlights slightly...
Street Glow - Blue probably, Maybe red or white

Oh and for the trunk since all the carpet is pretty gutted I'm thinking about making layout on either side of the trunk for some speakers and a sheet down on the bottom out of some tinted plexiglass and putting some 12'' neon tubes underneath so the entire layout has an incandecent glow...alot of work but my friends also in woodshop so he can design anything out of fiberboard and we can put the glass down around the main speaker boxes or whatever... one of those plan as you go

questions comments etc appreciated

attempting to buy my uncles 1988 Corvette (white red interior) in the spring so I'm not investing TOO much cash into this, I have about $3500 saved in my bank to put toward the Vette but whatever I get for X'mas money...probably around 500 bux or so I'll dump in this right off the bat

Not a bad ride....just need to get a new hood. If you really get into the car...swap the 3800sc in there because you have the 3.3L

You could get a good condition used hood and always paint it. Otherwise its a sweet color and a nice looking ride.

Talked to a friend of ours for a good long time tonight...dude and his wife who gave me the car ( there like mad into anything car related, racing, dirt racing, cars, trucks etc etc etc ) and we're thinking about rebuilding the engine over the summer...new heads and maybe a crank but we'll see...depends on cash and whatnot and if i get the corvette or not...

tomorrow I'm going to polish the exhaust tips and give the interior a super detailing since its dirty and has alot of dog hair and shit in it, cleaning the dash took a good hour and it still needs more work.

If anyone finds a hood for this car that's the same color f/s...LMK! Would definatly rather get a matching color hood than have to have one sent out and painted because since the car is like 11 years old...chances are the paint would have to be carefully matched and that's always a pain

Aight lets see

Ripped out all of the trunk carpeting and mad cleaned it so the trunk now looks brandy new

gave the interior a MAD vaccuming and polished my exhaust tips

went to walmart yesterday and got two 12" blue LED tubes to put under the dash...after we hook them up I'm going to put too more in the back under the bench seat...theres like a little crack between the material of the seat and the carpeting...since its double sided taped I'll mount two there and in the trunk since I dont have a light I'll mount one on top with a switch so I can find stuff in there in the dark...sound good?

pics later

also too...can anyone find me a hood for my car in good shape in the same color...or if not I'll have it painted to match.

'95 4 door GAGT's are teh sexy !!

Ya you could touch up the hood and polish out the shine.

I have mine on 16 inch Sunfire rims.

Planning a trip to Florida in February. When I get back we are slapping on some 18's. Think those would look better on it dropped.

But like Joe said. It has a TON of potential.

If you are having engine problems already, I would swap the engines first. Can look good all day long, but if it doesn't go anywhere it won't do you any good. :)

25% tint is a pretty dark tint, 75% would be a slight. The persentige is how much light can get threw

yeah 25 is dark but a friend of mine has 20% on his Jetta

Car is at the shop right now...think it just needs a timing belt and a valve job...dont have the tools of my own to do it so I'll have John do it for me ( guy at the shop )... while its there it'll get a new radiator, maybe breaks and hopefully a new window motor and I pray it doesnt take me broke...like I said, still hoping to get the Corvette and no offense but the Vette is cooler, hehe...I'll definatly be playing with this car though...gotta fix up the hood and scratches and whatnot and some interior mods and it should be pretty much done...If i find some cool rims at a good price I'll consider swapping them out however when clean the stock rims are pretty sweet....hate the stupid plastic cap on them though, If my dad decides to get slotted rotors for it I'll take the plastic shiz off

lol either that or if someone else falls in love with the car I'd be willing to part with it if the price is right

Thank you :) I am envious of yours to be honest with ya.

I want that hood of yours soooo friggin bad. Was gonna break down and buy one till I found out they are pin downs. How hard was it to mold it to the stock one ?

For the short time I had my 93GT I loved it. It needed a decent amount of work, so I didn't really invest much into customization, but their are a few things you can do to them. A couple companies have pretty nice body kits available. Definately wheels and tires...skys the limit with options, bu I wouldn't go anything larger that 18's ...maybe 19's at the very largest.

Definately have alot of potential to look nice. Congrats on the car

It wasn't difficult....just need to find a good body guy.

Bought a hood from junk yard, ripped the fram off....grind it down because the Ram air hood is to thick because it was designed to be a pin on hood. A good body guy can make everything line up perfectly. The hood itself fits really good for a pin on but needs extra tender and care to make it look good on a frame.

1992s and 1993s were the only years with the 3300. The 1994+ came with 3100s.

well anyhow odds are we'll get an estimate on how much the work is gonna cost after X'mas so we'll see...I hope its not to much so I can keep it...if worse came to worse I'd part it out to make a buck and probably buy another GA

If ur 16 be prepared to pay some serious insurance for a vette man cause i used to have a z28 and it killed me on insurance, but if u really get into ur ga then swap in a 3400 thats what i did and im happy with it

Were you reving it in Park or Neutral? Because my GT does that. I think it's a rev limiter, you've got a V6, right? if you do, Make sure your EGR valve port is cleaned, they can get clogged and the Computer will set a code for it, usually decellerating after 65 MPH. watch out for that.

the 3100 does have a rev limiter at 4k if u rev it in park or neutral, if it bounces at 4k while it is in drive then i would start with plugs and wires

Jammin MattDog

didnt know about the rev limiter, I was in neutral I think
