So would those nice polished stock tips be for sale anywhere? cause I call dibs if you sell them!

Oh dude Ive been looking at either those or very similar tips for my GA (but I want a single muffler setup as well)

looks SO amazing, although why didnt they cut back the extra plastic back there and fit the tips up higher, centered in the cut-out area?

i like them, but i think if the cutout in the bumper was just a tidge better, it would look 100% better.... but i still like it! (its what i wanted to do with mine when i got a new mufffler)

I'm sorry dude, i actually wanted to keep them for myself cuz i still love them (not as much as quads though). Like i said there was a little confusion between myself and the gentleman who did the work. I told him i wanted it like my friends so he replaced the entire Y-pipe so everything is brand new and shiny, which also means no tips.

But I'll give you a tip on how to clean yours. If you have a dremel tool and liquid polish, work away at it for a minute or two and wipe away all the left over crap. Never Dull helps to keep it shiny after a day or two.

Thanks guys. I'll try and get a sound clip, but if anyone saw the video i uploaded after i had the muffler and resonators removed it doesnt sound much different. A little beefier though. I'll see what i can do.

1.) Go to wal-mart and pick up Never Dull. It's in the auto department.

2.) Tear a clump out and scrub the outside rim of the tip. If your tips are as dirty as you say they are then you might need to spend a few minutes, and a few clumps, on each tip. Have a paper towel or something near to wipe off the excess crap and then do it again. If you're liking what you're seeing move on to the next stage.

3.) Get out a dremel tool (if you have one or know someone who does) and get out your liquid metal polish. Saturate your felt attachment with the polish. (We use English Custom Polish.)

4.) With the dremel set on the lowest RPM, go over the top part of the rim, as well as the exterior facing rim for a good minute or two. Wipe away the excess polish. You will need to repeat this step.

Let me know if that helps you out. Otherwise I'm going to call up the shop the day after christmas and find out if they still have the tips or y-pipe. If they do I'll glandly sell the tips to you.

Tips are alittle to big for the cutouts in the bumper. Either cut the bumper or get smaller tips but untill then I dont think they look good. Just my honest opinion

Yes you are entitled to your opinion. I like the larger tips because to me it looks like more of a muscle or sports car. At my work everyone calls my car "The Sports Car"

Hey, at least Pontiac designed the Grand Ams similar to the Dodge Avenger in the sense that they look fast and sporty. Though I'd rather drive the Grand Am :)

Sorry to be bringing my own thread back from the depths of Hell, but i FINALLY got a vid with what the exhaust sounds like with the quads. It isn't too noticeably different than the stock tips, but whatever.

I know they are MagnaFlow tips, but what muffler(s) are you running? Doesnt sound quite like Magnaflow but could be wrong. They usually sound a little deeper.
