I no longer have my GA, so I can't check anything.
But generally, there is no 'adjustment' in pedal assemblies, not for gas, brake, or clutch.
However, overtime there will be some wear on parts, and that can result in the 'sloppiness' you're now experiencing.
The engineers *generally* design the pedal assemblies with replaceable bushings, of either brass or plastic.
Look in there again, and see if the pivot bolt/sleeve moves excessively, and what kind of busing is installed as the 'sacrificial' bushing.
This would prolly be a dealer-only part, but shouldn't be more than $5 or so.
Hope this helps,

While you were under the dash looking at it, what part was broken?
