I just got a K&N stage 2 short ram intake from DRSPEED and a flow master wxhaust for free flow.
I think i blew the head gasket! theres milky substance in OIL
Could be the upper manifold though im not sure .
What i do know is this car will take pretty much anything off the line.
but loose it in the top end..
i want to keep this car.
IS IT WORTH IT ?!!!
92,000 miles
ordered 62 mm throttle body
and Stage 1 performance in north jersey area will do port & polish.
did i break my car?
it has been running hot
but honestly.. this thing is all torque and all natural.
hit me up on AIM during the day.
i dont have any pics but you can see and hear on myspace
lol lame i know

It's an auto tranny, and a pushrod 2-valve engine.
It will NEVER be 'high preformance'.
There's nothing in the UPPER Intake Manifold except inlet air, so the only thing that can 'fail' is the development of a vac leak.
Since there's no coolant flowing thru the UIM, it can't be the source of crankcase oil contamination.
Now, the LIM on the V6 is a completely different story, and THAT could well be the source of the crankcase 'chocolately milkshake'.
Do a 'search' on here for LIM gasket failure, it's VERY common.
As to 'blowing a headgasket': That can happen, especially if the engine overheats and warps the head(s) (often as a result of low coolant caused by a leaking LIM gasket).
Though you *slightly* increased the air into the cylinders with the 'ram' intake, this by no means increased the combustion pressure enough to 'blow' the gasket.
If you're handy with tools, you can do either/both the LIM and headgasket diagnoses yourself, and then the appropriate repairs.
But no matter how much work, love, desire and $$ you throw at this car, it will never match the preformance of some hot ricers.
Good luck,
-Rick

Sounds like another LIM gasket victim. The other mods were likely only a coincidence.

The question has more statements than questions. The first line is confusing. Do you think buying parts and planns for mods blew your engine? Or in starting the mods, you finally looked under the hood and found a problem?

Im betting thats what happened.
Now that your under the hood more your now noticing things that are wrong.

We were confused about the question. You made statements, you had questions. Were they related and did we know which is which, I certainly did not and I wanted to know the problem. I consider myself helpful and could offer advice but I cannot read your mind.

This turns out to be the question and you could have your answer quickly. The rest is not nessacary. I was just trying to figure it out.
I did not say you don't work under the hood, I was wondering if while you were working on your car, you found a problem or you thought the can was the problem.
Messing with hondas is irrelavent and nobody cares

ash, the way your going about this is horrible. Your thread/posts are hard to read and understand. Your descriptions make little sense. So we where forced to ask more questions. Then you get defensive which makes us defensive. The problem is when you get defensive your posts become even harder to read and make even less sense. Then you pull the *immature* card, yet your responses are even less mature than ours (our responses really arent immature at all). Your a very confusing person and seem to have very small understanding of human communication.
Ill catch you on myspace sometime.

no its not that at all..
but i did misread your responses
please dont take offense, im so frustrated about this car. i have never done this before, i feel like an idiot
but thank you for taking time to explain. i understand human communication, just not big on "threading"
i guess i got defensive... and for this i appolagize
you guys are pretty cool
forgive this ignorance

Now that's all settled
Welcome to the group and glad to hear you lost your posting virginity and are no longer a "lurker".
This statement is directed toward you AND the other members who just read the post. It is sometimes hard to write what you thinking. We know that, and know that there are very few true personal attacks by posters. Replies are meant to be helpful with some humor and jovial bashing to boot.
