First remove the high pressure power steering line, and the return line.

there are usually 3 bolts behind the power steering pump pulley.

once you take the tension off the belt, and slide the belt off the pulleys, rotate the p/s pump pulley until one of the holes lines up with a bolt. it should be a 13mm.

keep rotating the pulley to remove all 3 bolts, and dont forget there might be another bolt on the back of the pump connected to a stabilizer bracket.

These instructions will only work for a 3400 unless the 3100 he has - has the same upper engine mount the 3400 has. You can get the front 2 bolts removed, but there is the engine mount in front of the last one which is so far from what i've tried impossible to remove. It's sent my LIM project into a grinding halt.

To reach the 3rd bolt, you must remove the engine mount.

You'll have to have a cheery-picker or something to hold the engine up.
