So, my windsheild is leaking :(

It's only one spot, right above the driverside, and it's not too bad.. But it's enough to bother me, especially with all the rain we've been having.. Is it possible to just have the whole thing resealed?

My mom said I could just put some kind of windsheild sealer over the one spot, but I remember her doing that in her old POS and it make a mess and ruined the seat... :(

How long ago did you have your windshield replaced? My Gf had water dripping down through the sunroof switch. They reglued it for free.

I've not had the windsheild replaced, since I bought the car used in 05

Time to take a rock to it jk

Since it was done by someone else, you will have to pay. I'd call a glass shop and ask them. Or a body shop. It's too cold to glue it yourself this time of year even though it has been mild. You could caulk it up till spring but I think having someone do it correctly will be worth it.
You probally have glass coverage and the shop may be able to charge your insurance. If not get the outof pocket price, it is lower than the ins. price.
Good luck

Glass silicon would work best, but it is hard not to make a mess with it. I plan to use some on my 84 4runner but I don't care if it looks pretty or not.

Your car looks nice, it would be worth your time to find a pro with the stuff to fix it. Call a few glass shops around you.

A glass shop wont charge much to re-seal it.
They will probably pull out the whole windshield and re-seal it.

windsheild places can do it pretty quick...

I had mine done in the driveway, and in under 5 mins they already had the old windsheild off and they were scraping off the old glue.

cost me $200 cdn for everything, so if your winsheild is very pitted / scored you might even want to consider having it replaced rather than reglued.
