i just bought my 95 GA SE in october and tonight was the real first ice/snow test for me since ive been driving. i was going 5 mph turning a corner and next thing i know my car spins 90 degrees and im sliding all over. i wouldnt think that going 5mph could make me spin out so bad. the times still have good tread on them. im not sure of the model but they fit the stock rims. Is this just something i am going to have to get used to driving in the winter?

Do all 4 tires match? If not, this is often the cause of spin-outs in the winter.
If they do match, you need better tires meant for winter driving. With the proper tires, GA's do quite good in the snow.

Make sure your tires coding indicate "M&S" for mud and snow in the tire code.
Also, did you hit ice perhaps? I know a solid sheet of ice will send vehicles spinning if it is large and slick enough... even at slow speeds. Been there, done that. :O

Another possibility is you emergency brake is not disengaging all the way. This would cause you rear wheels to lock up easier under slippery conditions.

All ice? Nothing will save you on ice short of ice-studded tires meant for frozen lake racing. Ice needs to be avoided.
