I think most people will tell you KYB.

Monroe is not bad either but I think most people here have KYB and I've always thought along the lines that KYBs are more performance oriented and Monroe more ride oriented.

Monroe used to make struts for us in their Reflex line (their top-of-the-line) but they discontinued them and their Sens-A-Trac is the best they make for us now.

Granted KYB struts are only available in GR-2s as well but the shocks are available in Gas-A-Just which is the next line up from KYB. All in all the suspension options suck because there aren't many, but GR-2s up front and Gas-A-Just in the rear is probably your best bet.

Another options is what I run, which is Gabriel ultra series struts and shocks. I ran the KYBs that Roland mentioned before these and didn't notice a difference in ride quality on the same springs.

The good part about gabriels is that you can buy them local as theyre sold at autozone now.

People make to big of a deal on what struts/shocks to go with.

Yea i know. Its not like they make a really good setup for a non-stock application for the 4th gens. Everything is a stock replacement.

Thats why I said gabriels. They do the same thing as KYBs and are a fair amount cheaper.
