What kind of cheap improvements can I make to my Iron Duke/'88GA for more power?

Simple answer, none. There is the K&N filter but it is debated how much performance one actually gets. A cold air intake if you have enough ambition to do it yourself. Headers if they are custom bent. Cat back exhaust, not cheap.

I noticed that you had a superchip in your car. Where did you buy it? how much did it cost? What kind of improvements has it given you?

That Air intake is from a Honda Civic 92-95 (I think) It's turned backwards, and that located the cone filter below the battery tray in out 2.5's.
I had this on my 2.5 for a while. I didn't notice any huge improovement, but for me it was a nice excuse to add some chrome.
I'm actually going to be comiing up with a new intake design once my custom hood gets finished maybe in the next 2 weeks.

Well, having driven and rode in a carbureted Iron Duke back in the 80s, I will say that one of the biggest limiting factors would be the lackluster 8.5:1 compression ratio. One could always call up Ross and have them custom forge a set of pistons for the Duke. I would go for around 9.5:1 compression ratio myself. One can easily have the ECU reprogrammed for the jump in CR.
From there you could then add the cam and headers and get some reasonable power.

yes, there are two coils on the 2.5 ,, if you crawl under your car or even look from the top side ...down on the back of the engine block you will see them side by side. Simple way is to follow your plug wires down and you will see them .

Where did you get your A-pillar pod? Was it originally for a '91 Grand Am? Also, does anyone know if I can clear my LE tails like he did the SE's?
