I was at Walmart tonight and noticed a Grand Am that appeared to be in the 92-95 body style. It was a two door, and I believe it was a GT.. Didn't get a real rood look at the whole car, however what caught my eye was the taillights. Basically the whole lens was red but divided into little squares. Anyone know what year or anything those would be, and more importantly would the fit on a 95 SE? I really liked the looks of them compared to the ones on my car.

Sounds like a older grand prix tail light.

very similar, but it was definitely a GA. It was a purple two door

After looking though a ton of pics online, I am pretty convinced it must have been a 95 GT, with just the multiple horizontal lines on the taillights. Maybe next time I'm at the junkyard I will look for some. I assume those would fit. They at least look better than the lights on my SE. Also need to find a red spoiler. The GT spoiler will fit so long as its 2-95 correct?

The GT spoiler from the 1992-1995 should fit on that range of SE. You'll just need to add holes for it if you didn't have a spoiler to begin with.

SE and Gt parts are all interchangable.

I swapped my SE tails for GT's and cleared them out as well.

looks pretty cool because they are dark / clear.

Also replaced the stock bulbs with some pretty bright LED's and rewired the tail's so that the brake / tail lights are seperate from the turn signal; so basically 1 amber LED cluster and 1 red (+1 more red for the corner marker)

If I can get my hands on a decent camera I'll show you.

How hard was it to do that. That looks pretty cool. A far cry better than the stock SE tails. I spent a while at the junkyard Saturday looking for a red spoiler and those tails, but amazing enough, of the 20 or 30 92-95 GTs at the yard, not one had that style lights or a spoiler. And not that they had been taken off either, they just had no holes in the deck lid and they all had SE tails. kinda odd

I'd like to see pictures of that, cause I find it hard to belive. I think you might be mistaken Se's for GT's or your looking for the wrong tail light. If it was one or two I'd say its possible but not 20-30 of them.

As far as difficulty, I dont think it was hard at all. Once you get the light apart its just a matter of taking the red lens out and getting some small round red lenses in there. (more or less)
