GMPD [www.gmpartsdirect.com] would probably be your best bet but you'll probably want to find out the part number(s) from a dealer first as it is probably easier that way.
However note that you're probably far better off getting a real aftermarket sub, even a "real" Pioneer sub as I'll bet even Pios lowest-end model is better than what they put in the Cobalt. The only thing that might be of use is the enclosure itself as it looks like a nice fit. But that's only if it's available separately and if it has adequate airspace for the replacement sub.

I told him that. My las vehicle was an 03 Ford Tremor with the 485 watt pioneer system in it they speakers were all base pacgage but still sound good cranked. The only probelm I have with it was the amp after awhile with it cranked and the base turned up the thing would heat up and over load the bang lose the sub and rear speaker have to shut the HU off for about 5 minute and turn the bass out some then it would be ok. I do like the way that looks and how the sub and encloser mounted to the side of the trunk like that but I'm with you about getting a better sub from Pioneer I know they have these new slim fit subs out that look pretty sweet. But I'll tell him about the GM site and recomend he get the P/N from the local dealer. Thaks

Best bet... watch the classified sections on the Cobalt forums. Bet those who upgrade will end up selling the factory stuff.
But...

I agree. The 8" "Rockford Fosgate" in my Sentra isn't worth the space it occupies. It's more of a marketing gimmick really. If this "Pioneer" sub is anything like mine, it may not be made by Pioneer at all. (My "RF" is actually a Clarion sub with a RF logo dust cap, not that RF is any better anyway)
