THATS RIGHT, JUST HEARD THE WORD THE OTHER DAY THAT ENGLISHTOWN WILL BE HOLDING ITS 27TH ANNUAL PONTIAC SHOW AND GO. THE DATE IS SET FOR SATURDAY APRIL 7TH. I HAVE ALREADY SPOKEN WITH JOE (BIG JOE) ABOUT GOING AND WE ARE TRYING TO SEE WHAT TYPE OF CROWD WE COULD GET TO GO? IT WILL ALSO DEPEND UPON WHETHER OR NOT WE GET A HOTEL ROOM OR 2 FOR THE NIGHTS?

I KNOW I AM GOING AND JOE IS GOING, PLEASE POST IF INTERESTED IN GOING AND WHETHER OR NOT WE SHOULD GET SOME ROOMS FOR EITHER THE NIGHT BEFORE OR THE NIGHT AFTER THE SHOW. WE ARE TALKING A COUPLE MONTHS AWAY SO WE NEED TO START PLANNING NOW...

The Connecticut show is still in planning stages right now. just looking for thigns to do and places to go.

joe as for the hotel, thats exactly what im talkin about, to get a room for some party action and some drinkin games goin. dont know if id rather do that the night before or the night after the show. im thinking the night after the show personally. so say saturday night we get a couple rooms. we just need to get a list going of who would stay and ask for rooms next to each other.

Just gonna throw this out there, dont expect anything to be like atco. Atco and albany are really big events. This is just somthing small. Im not saying it wont be fun, just dont go there expecting Atco...

just my .02 i think we should go the night before, that way we aren't in a rush the next day and i will get enough sleep so i don't take a "detour" like i did last year. :blush:

if we all meet at a time locally we do know where we are going. though remember we do not need to be at the show when the gates open. we can plan to be there for 9:30ish. if we go down and crash friday night, we techincally wouldnt be getting there till late so i think it would be a waste of money. if we crash the saturday night after the show, we have plenty of time to chill and leave in the morning.

So i think i will be going down the friday night before the show. www.racewaypark.com they have the address there, check it out, im thinking that we are gonna crash at the official raceway park hotel. which happens to be no wheres near the actual track. but its got a covered garage that we can park underneath incase of a light rain.

By the way, what are the show classes like? do they have A Grand Am class ir is it all fwd or fwd modified ?

i THINK last it was something like FWD modified and stock....i could be wrong though

I think our class was somthing like Pontiac Other or somthing like that. It wasnt FWD because there were at least 3 RWD cars in our class with us at first. They ended up splitting the class in two because it got real big. They separated it by pre 1985 and post 1985.

yea joe is correct, it was pontiac other, and there was also a stock class. though they did split our class into 2 because of the age difference in cars. I think im gonna get a hotel room for friday night. whos in for the room? So that we New Englanders dont have to drive that far, plus get some drinks....Post and met me know so I can plan accordingly

it shouldnt cost more than $25 i dont have the sheet in front of me, though it wasnt that bad. the hotel room i have to expect to be at least $125. so whomever would want to crash we can split the price.

Wasnt because ofage differance. It was because of size. We were all in one at first but then we got bigger then they expected. So they split it at 85...

K the way it looks we are gonna need to get 2 rooms. i was able to find a hotel closer to the track and it would only be $76.50 (AAA) a night for 1 room with 2 queen beds. I am going to call later and reserve one room. if anyone else would like to reserve a room please feel free.

it was a no go! we were :pissed2: we got there right.....the guys says, the show is cancel due to SNOW!!! it didn't snow the WHOLE time we were there, the sun came out and it was nice! but some people ended up racing and won some awards for that.
damnit i shoulda raced, i coulda won an award and the temp. was cold enough for racing.

you drove the spec? its pretty easy to learn on (very easy to give it too much gas though) I let mel drive mine and she didnt break anything :lol:
