I bought some wheel for my car. The store i got them from told me the rims fit my car. They are 17" wheels. I believed it and bought them. A few months after i paid them in full i took my car to get the wheels rotated. Turns out the wheel do not fit my car properly and the studs and lug nuts were stripped off. So it cost alot of money to repair. Now i cant return the wheels and dont know if i can get them to fit in some way. Why is it that i can see people with grandams driving with 20's on there car when i can get 17s to fit my car?? What do you guys think?? Do yall think this rims was meant to fit my car?? Here is the website to the rims.

I know the website provides the "will this wheel fit my car section" but for all cars this wheel doesnt fit any car. I have entered many different cars and none of them fit to this wheel.

Sounds like you bought rims with a 5x114.3 lug pattern as opposed to what the 99+ take, 5x115. They will fit but they will move around and do lug damage. If this is the case, I would take the receipt to them try and get them to pay for the damaged caused, and either give you the rings needed to center the rim correctly on your pattern or take them back for a full refund. You were told they would fit and they do not, due to their negligence they should accommodate you.

Which kind and which size.

Thanks,

They are called hubcentric rings.Basically if you put these rims on with out the rings the first lug nut will either center in the lug hole on the rim and all others will be misaligned (causing wheel hop at certain speeds ) or they will clamp the rim to the hub off center of the rim hole and you might get lucky. The rings go around the circle you see in the middle of the lugs studs, and when you put the 5x114.3 rims on all lugs clamp the rim equally offset of the actual holes to keep the outer radius of the tire equal distance from the "hub" ( i.e. no movement of the rim that causes failure of lug nuts and studs that are caused by this setup .

Those wheels look like they use cone style lugnuts, the kind that are beveled on the bottom. If the wheels are 114.3 and have a beveled lugnut, they do not properly fit a GM car no matter if you use rings or not. Only wheels that use mag stle nuts may work.

It seems that they have a Fit guarantee (http://www.wheelmax.com/guarantee.asp)
Have you tried contacting them and telling them that the rims caused damage, they might reimburse you.

Good luck
