Try using the search feature...

And check the 'sticky' threads at the top of the page...

Any major performance mods are going to cost some serious money though. Things like a CAI and an exhaust are fairly cheap but if you want power then a turbo or supercharger be prepared for at least a thousand dollars.

he said at least... and i have found superchargers on ebay for 1k, but it's for the charger itself and none of the needed parts.

i eventually want to try a twin charge project to see what i can yield

Read. Not saying that in a "noob, go search" manner either - I say it cause there is a ton of info to learn on this engine. I suggest reading up first on here, Quad4forums, and even J-body.org... there's plenty of what works and what doesn't info, which will help get the best bang for your buck.

Quick answer though, start with cat-back exhaust, then intake.

The GM SC for the 2.4 is getting close to that price... only a few hundred more. If you have a 2000-2001, you'll need nothing else. Very good value.

If you have the ability to fabricate your own turbo manifold, it is also feasible to build a turbo system for about that much if you can obtain a decent deal on a used/reman'd turbo.

This is the only kit available for the LD9 (2.4L):

http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GA3017/GAUNDER/RSM+Supercharger+Kit.html

However, it costs $4000+ and you will need to tune your car if that is even possible.

Anyway, you would do much better to build your own turbo charger setup. Firstly it would probably be cheaper and secondly you will learn a lot about your car.
