Hey everyone!

Long time since I have posted, I'm mostly the type of person that reads around on the forums for a long time and gets information in my head and then try to help people and stuff. As I don't know a ton about my car so far, I don't want to steer anyone in the wrong direction with misleading information. :)

Today I purchased a remote car starter from Canadian Tire (yea i know........good price tho). I plan on installing it first thing Monday morning.

Are there any tips, install guides, or anything that would help me successfully install this piece of equipment into my Grand AM without any snags on the way (or very few :D)

The model that i got was:

ProStart Remote Starter 3 in 1

Starter/Doors/Trunk (i guess thats what its referring too)
http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444289 0777&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396672396&bmUID=1170364435874

So if there is anything that you can add, feel free to do so. I want to install this all by myself if possible.

Thanks for your help

Also sorry for posting it in the wrong section. oops

P.S.............I'm addicted to this website , every time I'm on a computer I have to see whats goin on here.

Peace

Returned it, it sucked. needed an adapter n some other stuff to do it. went to a place that does free install and was cheaper. and is professional. so its in good hands.

thanks if you read it tho

Yea installing those are a pain in the ass anyways, done a few myself and if i ever get another one for another car im going to find a place that does free installs or at least a decent price for an install.

Don't you have to buy it from most places for them to install it? I know that's a problem around here with buying alarms from eBay, nobody will touch the install.

Remote start isn't really a necessary thing for me. The only thing I needed to do on the GA was put a door unlock on it. I'm not really interested in remote start on the G5 since it wouldn't work anyways (Engine stalls when clutch isn't pressed in while running ;))

Its good though that you got it installed for you, sometimes its just easier that way.

They make remote start systems for manual cars.
