I know I saw it here somewhere, theres a metal LIM gasket available (3400, 2000 GA) and someone had posted a part number for it. My searches only led me to find the permadry gasket from felpro. Is that the metal one? I finally got my heads and with next weeks paycheck, I'll be able to throw that bitch back together. I just hope to god it was only the heads cracked and not the block...I have this funny feeling its the block...but my fingers are still crossed.

Anyway, thanks all.

Yeah the PermaDry Plus gaskets are metal framed. The ports are actually sealed with rubber on the gaskets but the frame/rest of the gasket is a metal frame. The concept of it seems to be to prevent the gasket from shifting/warping by using a metal frame to hold it steady and in place.

Remember that though the metal gaskets are a good idea and important in preventing another leak down the road, just as important (perhaps more important) is using good bolts with proper threadlocker on the bolts as the bolts backing out is just as big a problem as the actual gasket failing.

Ok thanks...

Yea I had planned on using new head bolts and intake bolts....Advance Auto has the intake bolts for 16.99 and the head bolts are like 22 or 23 bucks or somtething...again, thanks man.

you got new intake bolts at advance, I did not call them today when I went to auto zone and got my Permadrys, AZ could not get them nor the injector "O" ring seals, I was going to call the local dealer, but maybe I will give advance a chance.

The GM/Delco ones are, for some reason, more pricey. It's like $3-$4 for a set of other companies' ones but the GM ones were like $15 I think. That's one part that I bought the Delco ones because the overall price wasn't that high and I figured there has to be some reason for the significant price difference and I didn't want to have problems so I just bought the Delco ones. The new injector o-rings are blue by the way, and they replace the older brown and black ones. This is for Multec I injectors Multec II are different I think.

I have actually installed one of these gaskets on my friends 2000 GA motor that went in his beretta.

Very nice gaskets and makes me feel like it will last much longer than the originals.

Thanks for the pic.

Those things look 500% better than the regular P.O.S

No clue. If they are the "stick" type injectors those are the Multec-II I believe. If they are the fat round ones those are the Multec I injectors. I don't know when they switched over.
