View Full Version : Suspension Idea
Hello everyone.
Like I start in the performance section, I might as well start one here. I planning to work on my car and was wondering what type of springs should I use for my car. Also how much does a set of coil overs cost to but in my car. I have a 1998 Grand Am GT. I got a lot of useful and great ideas for performance and not it is time for suspension modifications as well as tires. It is all about safety and stabliatiy.

dont bother with coilovers.. they dont make them for our car, period. Anything you see on ebay pertaining to them is just some idiot trying to make a quick buck on some unsuspecting chode.:)
With that said, theres a few springs out there for us. Theres a sticky at the top of this ssection that gives the brands and the relative drop heights, just pick one that goes with the height change you want, and do a search on that brand on here to see what comes up.. If you're still unsastified with what you find out, come back and ask some questions so we can help :)
Theres a lot of good tire brands out there, I'd read some reviews on someplace like tirerack.com, unless someone else wants to help you out with tires, as I don't keep up with them too much. Personally I've got Toyo Prozes FZ-4s on my summer tires and they suit me perfectly fine (although theres better tires out there).
And for my first post it was" it is time for suspension modifications " sorry for my english. But things for the info i will start doing some resource.
