I had the windows tinted on the car today. Monday, I should be receiving the side mirrors and they will go directly to the paint shop to be color-matched. So by week's end, I should be good to go for a few weeks. Unless you want me too, I'm just going to wait until next weekend to shoot pics of the tint, when I have the mirrors on, also. Later, QD.

I have decided not to paint the mirrors the same as the car due to the fact that my wife wants to go ahead and get it painted. She wants it black. So the mirrors will be fine as they are. Later, QD.

So you are going to waste around 1k for a black paint job?? A plain one at that?!? Not worth it at all.

Nah. I'm not going to waste anything. I have a painter that paints my cars for about $400. I don't really understand your assuming it's a waste. Later, QD.

Its a waste because its really nice color. Unless you have some nice scratches and so on I just dont see the reason for changing the color to something kinda blah. Now if you did a nice metal flake black then I wouldnt say anything but sweet.

I agree with Josh, i dont see the point.

You cant paint a car for $400 anyways, the primer, paint and clear coat will cost more than that alone not to mention all the miscelaneous (sp?) materials and tools.

That's exactly where I was heading. I have my Neon painted Ice Silver Metallic and was going to do the same with the GA except black.

Where I work, I can. I work for Budweiser and on our premises, we have our gas tanks to fill up, our own on-site mechanic shop to work on the rigs and other vehicles and a paint booth for the painter to paint any and all graphics for the Bud vehicles. So I can get it done for $400. Later, QD.
