It's still 27w so it should work fine.

Depends on the heat they generate. I had 55W bulbs in my stock fog lights & the wiring harness held up fine. The problem is the stock housings cannot tolerate much more heat than the average 27W bulb would put out. My fog lights developed a light brownish area in the center of the lenses & after a while they actually developed a lump the size of a dime in that same area which was the lens actually melting from the heat.
The plastic used for the lenses is a low temp. resin, just another way to hold the cost down during production.

I call BS on the 100 watt output. A light bulb is a simple design, it puts out what power it receives and being Halogen (the stock ones are halogen also) doesn't change that.

Will be fine, but don't expect them to be any brighter.

Wattage [draw]: 27
Wattage [output]: 100

 I guess that kind of logic only works when they are "JDM."

Marshall is right, that's BS. Light uotput isn't measured in Watts anyways, its in lumens. What they are saying with those bulbs is that they draw 27.5W but they are claiming they will give out as much light as a bulb that draws 100W. If you believe that, throw some bright yellow stickers on your car, they are good for 50 whp. If you want them a little brighter, what I did is switched the stock 880 bulbs out for 893 bulbs. 893 draw 37.5 Watts, so they are a bit brighter. If you want any brighter than that you'll have to change the lights themselves and run some new wiring. I found some new lights I'll be hooking up this spring, stock size but glass and metal and they run 130W bulbs. Obviously I'll only be able to run them on back roads where no one is around, but that s what this particular car is for to begin with.

Those energy saver lights do that. They are rated at like 25W but put out the same amount of light as a 100W light. That was just an example.

You mean compact florescent bulbs for the home... those are way different. In terms of incandescent car bulbs, you're simply not going to get the equivalent light output of 100 watts from 27.
