I sat down with my wife and we both Decided to keep "Whitey", our 99 Grand Am Se.
I went ahead and decided to get the dual mufflers (i got dual Magnaflow's installed for 300.00), my friend owns a shop!
it sounds insane!

As for the all the scuffs and dongs i have, i'm taking Whitey to the Shop to fix and repaint my bumpers so it can look New!

why does it seem that more smoke comes out of one than the other?
any ideas?

Sounds like they did not use a Y pipe to split the mufflers. I have the same thing to. Once it warms up you will never notice it.

they did use a y pipe, smoke comes out of the one on the left, but it seems more smoke comes out from the right, u know... any ideas if that would effect anything?

it's the stock 2.4 motor, the only mods have been the Mufflers......
K&N filter but that's it!
But i have taken great care of my car since day 1.

If they used a "T" in stead of a "Y" the exhaust will flow the straight path. Plus even with a Y if one side is shorter than the other it's typical since hot exhaust gasses are naturally drawn towards the cooler air.

What would you recommend....Y or T or does it make a difference??

Wouldn't a Y be better flowing? Thats what my head is trying to tell me anyways.:???:

The exhaust is still turbulent either way and flow is hard to predict.
you could hit the right side with a hammer to even out the smoke :)

Good one, what i meant was the engine part... i live in NYC, City parking is no Joke, i seen Bentleys here in NYC with Messed up bumpers... Retard who don't know how to part don't discriminate...
